B-Line Gives Ultimate Bass Performance

Wembley Loudspeaker launched its B-Line 18-800 bass driver at last years PLASA Exhibition and return with significantly improved B-Line 18-600 and 18-800 18" drivers at this years show.

Wembley Loudspeaker has established its position as leading manufacturers of speakers. It has been manufacturing speakers and repairing speakers and amps since 1971, with clients ranging from Eric Clapton and BB King to Iron Maiden to Hammersmith Odeon to Reading University Student Bar to the Bulls Head jazz pub. This year it is showing off its range of PTP chassis loudspeakers, horns and flares, including SPYDER, 2820 Compact Subs and MAXI CUBE.

The B-Line series has proven very popular, delivering 800 watts continuous rating (1,100 watts peak) it now outperforms just about anything else in the market. The key to the improvements is the new cones, specially imported from the USA, the cones give improved response due to the technique of combing the pulp. The new B-line 18-800 offers better clarity of notes, increased sensitivity, whilst being lighter and retaining their power capacity. The magnet has been specially developed with Volt.

They received their first 'gig test' at this years Notting Hill Carnival, where Lord Gelly used 16 in his system.

MacCallum was delighted with his verdict . . . " he (Lord Gelly) wanted something extra special and said they were awesome. He now prefers the B-Line over the Precision PD 18-50's! Result!" The award winning Saxon International sound system and several floats also used the new 18-800's at Notting Hill and were equally impressed. "We have spent a year testing and refining these speakers," explained MD Paul MacCallum, "and I am delighted with the result."

The Wembley Loudspeaker stand at this years PLASA looks more like one of Charlie Dimock's 'Ground Force' creations rather than a manufacturers workshop, complete with gravel path, Astroturf, BBQ and garden shed. "We figured a lot of our ideas started in the garden shed!" said MD Paul MacCallum. "It's a bit like our mini guitar amps in cigarette packets . . . how many ideas started on the back of a box of Marlborough!"

Wembley Loudspeaker also offer Europe's largest repair and refurbishment facility for nearly all makes of professional and studio units, including a comprehensive range of parts for many vintage and rare speakers.
